Starting a beauty blog in 2009 would be the very thing that would shift Aishia’s career, focus and interest. After shifting the blogs focus from beauty to hair and then niching down specifically to natural hair a few years later after going natural herself changed the game for her.

In summer of 2015 Aishia decided to take her interest in natural hair to the next level by enrolling in beauty school. Enrolling in beauty school and linking up with her then mentor and former business partner, Aeleise Olarvia, catapulted her career. Aishia quickly became a natural hair expert, educator and experienced tight curl hair cutter. The pair have gone on to co-create Black Girl Curls (consumer education arm) and Cut It Kinky (professional education arm).

Aishia is now the CEO + Creative Director behind Black Girl Curls Exclusively.
